General Buhari’s 20 months (1983-1985) in office as the then Head of State led to the depreciation of naira against dollar, and inflation rose to 40%. 10 months into office as the President of Nigeria, we see similar occurrences of depreciating currency and collapse of the economy. This time he blames it on sliding price of crude oil. I wonder how Dar es Salaam-John Pombe Magufuli of Tanzania was able to achieve his feet in 3 months.
Remember Ogedengbe who was executed for crime that did not carry capital punishment. Remember Tai Solarin who was incarcerated without trial for 20 months and denied medication for his asthmatic condition. Now we have Nnamdi Kalu in custody despite court ruling. Perhaps ‘’ BUHARISM’’ is back and what the hell is human right.
Buhari is yet to appear before Oputa Panel. Is the panel ‘’DISCIPLINED’’?
Was General Buhari in Nigeria (August 27, 1985) when he was overthrown by his chief of staff IBB? Now I hear he travels virtually every week and spends 1 million dollars per trip (not verified). Ok oh. Osinbanjo I sight you. If goodwill is the reason for his frequent sojourn overseas then I rest my case. I didn’t say so o, Osita Okechukwu did.
President Buhari has indeed started something commendable. Surprised about my change of heart, don’t be because there are two sides to every tale. Besides, he can’t be all despotic.
His administration appears slow because he has used the last 10 months to restructure the government. He even trimmed/pruned 42 ministries to 24 for greater efficiency and to save cost.
Buhari’s 10 months in power has once again showed us his commitment to fight corruption and indiscipline and this is glaring for us to see. Does DASUKIGATE ring a bell?  So don’t confuse it for Watergate scandal.
To a greater degree, you guys will agree with me that our security forces are winning the war against terrorism in the northern part of the country.
CHANGE is a gradual process so let’s give it time and mind you he has three years left to fulfil and enact his promises.

GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA RELATIONS

 It is said that government cannot exist without the consent of the people, and people cannot co-exist peacefully without the machinery of government. This assertion is supported by Abraham Lincoln’s definition of democracy as “government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Government can only thrive/succeed when it receives full support from the public (people), because government is dependent on the public as well as private sources to generate revenue through taxes to enable them implement programs such as creation of jobs, improvement of transport, education, health care, infrastructure and rural development programs.

Media and government relations are the tools that can help gain public confidence. Government relations have to do with a two-way communication between the government and the public. This communication entails transparency in informing the public about government dealings and activities so the public will be abreast with the affairs of governance. This is done through the public relations department of the government. Press releases and media tours are examples of what the department does.

Creating good image and rapport between the government and the public can be made possible through media relations. Media relations involves working with various media for the purpose of informing the public of an organization’s mission here, governments mission, policies and practices in a positive, consistent and credible manner.

But, our government uses these channels to propagate their selfish agenda and mislead the public. The public cries out saying “my government, my government, why has thou forsaken us”.

BEAUTY QUEENS BOYFRIEND FORGIVES HER

Aah, well I got there at about 8pm in the evening, Dorothy was putting on her normal rose wear on valentine’s day and you know what lovers do and all of a sudden to my greatest surprise two guys showed up, I thought they were her friends but the story was that they were her ‘kunta kinte’ (sic) lover lover. Its normal, such thing happens, she’s a celebrity for crying out loud but no grudges attached.

HOW DID THE OTHER GUYS REACT

They were surprised and touched, in fact, based on how I presented the issue to them and they knew there’s something going on and that am the main guy on board. So we talked things over as guys and we settled the matter amicably.

At first I was heartbroken, I felt bad that the message went round. Am a human being and I have forgiven her. According to what they normally say that to err is human and to forgive is divine and what we need in a relationship is to forgive and move on. I have forgiven her.

"That day was supposed to be a special day for us. Normally we celebrate it in our house and I planned on engaging her but after the small saga I think that will have to pause for a while but subsequently something will come up".

BEAUTY QUEEN SUE BOYFRIENDS

Dorothy James, the beauty queen who was dumped by her three boyfriends she accidentally messaged at the same time to come celebrate the valentine in her house has charged the three boyfriends to court.

Speaking to our correspondent, Dorothy said shes suing the three boyfriends for sexual harassment and domestic violence and that shes ready to go all the way to ensure they are punished for what they did to her.

The three boyfriends are expected to appear in court for hearing on the 10th of March.

EX BEAUTY QUEEN DUMPED

Former beauty queen, Dorothy James got dumped and left desolate on valentines day by her three boyfriends she accidentally texted at the same time to come celebrate the valentine at her apartment in Osu.

The boyfriends who on reaching her house, discovered they were dating the same girl engaged in  fisticuffs and the neighbours had to intervene to stop the fight.

Dorothy affirmed to have mistakenly messaged them to come visit her at the same time but claimed to be in the dark as to why they are causing a scene and disturbing the neighbours.

One of the boyfriends who identified himself as Charles said he is heart broken and as such will severe any form of relationship he had with her because of her promiscuity.

All efforts to speak to the other boyfriends proved abortive.
